Screaming Reels Charters was founded in 1990. Captain John wants to share his love and knowledge of these beautiful fish to fishermen at large in order to further their viability as an amazing trophy species in Virginia.
Captain John has been focusing on James River Catfishing for more than 30 years.
John is currently a sponsored pro with Bass Pro-shops on the catfish circuit, and has been a member of the pro staff since 2009.
Captain John has been recognized in many competitive settings but is most proud of the following:

- Recognized by VA Governor Terry McAuliffe for fishing outreach with the Richmond Area Boys & Girls Club
